We hold the distinction of being the first airline in Sri Lanka certified under International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) annex requirements and the first domestic airline approved by the Department of Civil Aviation to commence flights to Jaffna.

Our Journey: From ExpoAir to FitsAir

Our roots trace back to 1997, and we’ve been navigating the skies ever since:

• 1997: Established as Expo Aviation.

• 1998: Commenced initial cargo operations.

• 2001: Launched domestic passenger flights to Jaffna and rebranded as ExpoAir.

• 2005: Expanded ambitions with applications for international cargo routes.

• 2006: Enhanced our cargo capabilities with a Douglas DC-8 freighter.

• 2012: Relaunched scheduled passenger flights between Ratmalana (Colombo) and Jaffna using a modern Cessna Caravan.

• 2019-2020: Expanded domestic reach and resumed Jaffna flights with ATR aircraft.

• 2021: Introduced Airbus A320 aircraft for passenger operations.

• 2022: Marked a major milestone by launching our first scheduled international passenger flights, starting with the Colombo-Dubai route.

• 2023: Expanded our international network to Chennai and celebrated carrying over 50,000 passengers on our new scheduled services.
